AFTER A PARTY

After a party, the levels of liquid in any remaining non-empty bottles have a curious randomness to them. Measure six well-chosen ones in turn. Tenths of inches is quite a good scale, or thirds of centimetres.

Special note: If anyone else after a party is eccentric enough, and sober enough, to be measuring bottles, you can avoid getting the same numbers and the ensuing tragedy of sharing the prize, by a simple tactic. Wait for the other person to finish measuring, then drink some more of the contents of the bottles before you start your measuring. This will make the result truly random! Oh yes (hic!), truly random!
